About this campaign

This year – Team Lisa will be riding on four bikes and will be honoring four amazing women who have inspired me and everyone in their lives. Please join me in supporting their fight against cancer and help me raise awareness to a cause that is truly special.

#TeamLisa

Lisa has been in my life for as long as I can remember. As a long-time friend and colleague of my mother's, Lisa always lovingly had her door open for me for anything I needed. Lisa has helped me through college and has developed my own personal interests in what I truly want to pursue. After graduation, Lisa spoke with me about my own goals and if it weren't for that conversation I would have never pursued working at MSK and I wouldn't have had the pleasure of meeting the bravest individuals I have ever met. Of all the lessons Lisa has taught me, the most important one was my own identification of a proud Latino male. I will always be grateful for the time and love Lisa has given me, and I dedicate my goal in her name.

At the end of last year, Lisa was diagnosed with Pancreas Cancer. I remember the day she came in to MSK because that was the very first day I took over the clinic of Dr. Reidy, the same doctor she would now be seeing for the very first time. Immediately I became a believer of fate and I remember Lisa telling me this was a "very good sign" that our paths should cross in this manner. Over the last few months I have witnessed Lisa fight a tremendous battle and I am so proud of the way she stays positive through it all. She will always have a smile on her face and will always put others before her. It amazes me each time I see her that she still takes the time to ask me how I am feeling. Lisa has taught me that life should never be taken for granted, and to not let little things affect the bigger picture. She has inspired me to become a better person, and to want to be someone special.

Lisa, you are an amazing, loving, and caring woman who has touched so many hearts and minds. It is my goal to bring together everyone who stands with you and your fight against cancer. We love you Lisa, we are here with you, and we will fight with you.

This ride is for you.
