We all need to help save these disappearing species.
Need to protect our herps as they are inductors of a healthy ecosystem.
It would be a crime if there were no more hellbenders, or if there is nowhere suitable for them to survive.
As an undergrad I attended Indiana University Southeast. My major was Biology and I was awarded an internship with the Nature Conservancy studying the Blue River in southern Indiana. It is one of the few rivers in Indiana with Hellbender populations.
