Addiction is a disease and we as a society need to embrace the suffering addicts and their families. We need a standard of care established to treat addicts that works. Addiction is not cured in a 30 day rehab, it takes a minimum of 18 months
Lost my son in December 2016 to a heroin overdose
My husband is a recovering alcoholic - 13years. My youngest daughter (16) is a recovering addict - 1 year. My middle daughter (19) is a recovering addict - 4 1/2 months.
