Many of you may not know, but this year I spent 4.5 months in the hospital while pregnant with my daughter, Ruby. I spent a month there myself after my water broke at 5 months, and delivered her at 6 months pregnant. She then spent the next 3.5 months in the NICU where she grew from less than a pound, to six pounds! During those grueling months, where we spent every day with Ruby, we were overwhelmed by the kindness of our nurses who comforted us on the hardest days, and laughed with us on the good days. And the donors who brought clothes for the babies going to foster care, and the nurses who worked during their breaks to get footprints of every baby in the NICU for every holiday, and who knit bunny ears for her to wear on Easter. Our NICU provided us with the people who made our hearts a little lighter during a difficult time, and also with supplies, like nursing pillows and coolers for breast milk, to make our lives a little easier and more comfortable. Our NICU is now raising money to help continue this kind of care and I want to help them raise money so that other families can be blessed like ours was during their stay. I had been sitting on these WickedStuffed.com t-shirt designs for some time, and couldn't think of a better time to sell them, than right now when 100% of the profits will go to our local NICU so they can keep doing what they're doing.
