About this campaign

The OOIDA Mary Johnston Scholarship Program has been assisting the children, grandchildren and legal dependents of OOIDA members in their efforts to gain a higher education since 1998.

Each year, OOIDA awards one $2,000 and four $1,000 scholarships. The scholarships are renewable for three years, providing a total of four years of assistance to each student. The students are selected in a blind evaluation conducted by the Scholarship Advisory Committee.

Through the OOIDA Foundation, the OOIDA Mary Johnston Scholarship committee accepts tax exempt contributions from generous OOIDA members, corporate sponsors, Land Line Magazine, Owner-Operator Services, Inc., and fund-raisers sponsored by the committee.

Since the scholarship was founded, more than $300,000 has been given to students through the fund.

"Land Line Now" is the first daily news and information program designed specifically for America's truck drivers. The show is broadcast nationwide each day on Sirius XM Satellite Radio’s The Road Dog on Sirius XM Channel 146, an online through www.LandLineNow.com and most popular podcast apps.

Each day's show includes a newscast keyed to the most important and current issues in trucking, national and state legislative analysis, as well as longer pieces that cover everything from truckers' lifestyle to regulatory information.

That package is created by our team of veteran journalists and broadcasters, as well as a range of guests with expertise in the trucking industry.

The program is produced by the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association, the only national organization representing the interests of professional truckers in Washington, D.C., in state legislatures and with the regulatory agencies dealing with transportation and highway safety.

In 13 plus years on the air, Land Line Now has won dozens of local, regional, national and international awards.
