About this campaign

In honor of the release of my new picture book for grieving children, A Hug from Heaven, I’ve designed this beautiful Love Never Dies t-shirt. All funds raised from the sale of this shirt will go to Comfort Zone Camp, a camp for grieving children ages 7-17.

Margaret’s Story:

When our son Jack died suddenly at age 12, his little sister Margaret had just turned 10. Jack’s death left Margaret lonely, confused, angry and deep in grief. She didn’t know how to process what she was going through, and it felt like she was the only kid in the world whose life had fallen apart. Tim and I didn’t know how to help her, especially from the pit of our own deep grief. Comfort Zone Camp helped Margaret see she was not the only child going though devastating loss, and it gave her tools to both express her grief and celebrate her brother’s life. Big Buddies and mentors showed that a positive future was possible, and that Love Never Dies. Several times Margaret missed out on the opportunity to attend camp because there were far more kids in need than resources. Your support of this fundraising campaign through Custom Ink will help more children get the kind of help our entire family benefited from through Comfort Zone Camp.

I lost my 8 year old daughter, Olivia, over 6 years ago. When she passed away in 2012, she loft behind her baby sister, Ainsley (age 2). Ainsley is now 8, the age her sister was at her untimely death.
