About this campaign

Our purpose is to raise funds towards the post production costs of the film which is being shot in Michigan RIGHT NOW! Specifically, we are looking for funds for editing, special FX, sound FX, and building a few more miniatures. We already have a full size A Wing prototype, lots of stormtroopers a dark stormtrooper from the 501st, plenty of rebels, and a we will be unveiling a new droid named "R4,". This is a truly epic fan film to be a part of.

”The Blood Crystal" is an original fan film written and directed by Dark Hoffman based on the Star Wars universe created by George Lucas. The film is a true passion project and will be released FREE to the galaxy later in 2018.

The timeline is between "Revenge of the Sith" and "A New Hope" where there are still hidden groups of Jedi and Sith which form the basis for our characters.

This is a story of one Jedi and one Sith and the adventures they take searching for the unimaginably powerful Blood Kyber Crystal that will change their lives forever...

Dark is an accomplished visual effects artist in the film industry and has over 100 television and film credits to his name. He came up with the storyline for “The Blood Crystal” while he was recovering from surgery after an aggressive recurrence of stage 4 head and neck cancer. As a major part of his healing process, he channeled his lifelong love and passion for the Star Wars franchise into the creation of this truly one of a kind fan film.
