"Let others Shine" has become the Weidner's family motto. It essentially means "giving others glory!" During difficult times with Shea's chronic medical conditions, the Weidner's remind themselves to be grateful for what has been given to them, and to "Let others shine!" Shea's cousins, Mira (age 16) & Dominic (age 15) Holifield, decided to honor Shea by designing a special shirt that represents her spirit & this motto. They knew a bird had to be in the design since it is Shea's nickname- Shea Birdie.
Although Shea is nonverbal and unable to speak, God has given her the gift of communicating with smiles & giggles. Even through all the medical procedures & pain, Shea still manages to share this gift that lights up all the hearts around her! Shea has given each of us the gift of JOY! How fitting since her name means "a gift."
