Help Madison Fight Brain Cancer

Recently Madison was admitted to the hospital (St. Marys at first then transported to Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU) and stayed for 9 days. Mom and Dad both stayed with her the entire time. During her stay, she had 2 MRIs, 2 spinal taps, a CT scan, and several blood and urine tests. Madison was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer. The doctors currently believe the form is called Germinoma. This cancer requires chemo and radiation, which means daily trips from Lunenburg to the Children’s Hospital of Richmond and countless more appointments. We are confident she will beat this!! Updated to add: Madison will need a biopsy of the basal ganglia region of her brain! This is a small needle drilled through the skull. We are praying this procedure goes smoothly. If it goes well, she will spend only one night in the hospital.
