About this campaign

The free use of the dry, sandy white beaches has been taken away from us in Walton County, all along Scenic Highway 30A by the recent privatization of our beaches.

Florida Beaches for All is a non-political, not-for-profit 501c4 organization formed in Walton, County, Florida for the purpose of preserving Customary Use beach access rights in our county and the state of Florida. You can imagine what we are up against, and you can imagine the repercussions for our local business owners, our local homeowners who own across the street from, but not on the sand dunes, and for our tourists. This movement by just a few individuals has already impacted us, and if you are one of the almost 4 million yearly visitors who love South Walton County, and Scenic Highway 30A, then you will likely be impacted as well. These people, a small handful of our beachfront owners, are also now working to privatize all of Florida’s beaches. And we are taking a stand in the sand.

As you can imagine, this is truly a David versus Goliath story, and we are up against some powerful people with deep pockets. Our founders have been working double time for over a month to gather the many so they may have a voice, and we are working to preserve your way of life and ours, to keep the dry sandy beaches open for all, the way they have been used customarily for thousands of years. Thousands of volunteer hours and thousands of our own personal dollars have already been spent establishing ourselves, paying for supplies, ordering decals, paying legal and accounting fees, and paying for websites, etc. The list goes on, but our goal is to fight this battle using education, legal means, and lobbying. And for that, we will need the help. The need for this is real, the cost is high. The cost of failure is higher.

Thank you for sharing and supporting our cause.

Our economy depends on open beaches!

Our family has enjoyed SoWal's beautiful beaches continuously for over 3 decades. The area is a second home for 3 generations of our family. We support CU to insure our current & future generations continued recreational use access to the beach!

We've had a second home/rental in beautiful South Walton since 2003 & access to the lovely beaches is the only reason we bought a home in SoWal. We made many family memories at the beach & hope we and others can can continue to do so for many years.

I live on 30a and grew up enjoying the white beaches of Walton Co. Restraining people from enjoying the beaches makes no economic sense as there is not enough room at public beach access areas. Why give the beach to the top 1%?
