About this campaign
The mission of SAVE is to end the starvation and abuse of the pack animals on the Havasupai reservation; to elevate these animals to their rightful place in the Havasupai culture and all cultures as sentient beings that deserve compassionate care and respect for their service to human beings.
The abuse of the pack animals on the Havasupai reservation in Grand Canyon is decades long, systemic and it is torture. These pack animals need everyone to pay attention to their suffering. Every witness needs to speak out and make formal complaints. The solution lies with the public. Anyone considering a trip to Havasupai Falls must know that using the pack animals makes you complicit in the abuse.
Please practice responsible tourism, DO NOT use the pack animals.
THEY SHOULD NOT SUFFER FOR YOUR VACATION

I’ve seen this horrific treatment of animals in Havasupai for 20 years, hoping it will be ended aoon!!
Wanted to visit Havasu falls until I saw the abuse. I now will not go. Have followed SAVE for years. Wish there was more I could do from the east coast
Animals shouldnt have to suffer for human selfies :(
When I see the photos and look into the eyes of these suffering creatures, my heart breaks. Every little bit will help to provide rescue, medical care and food for these abused animals. Humans are the stewards of all creatures great and small.
Just returned from Havasu. Should’ve been a great trip, but I left pretty sad.
To save the abused horses and mules of the Havasupai tribe!
The abuse of these horses must stop. We must all use our voices to make it stop! Water, food and pack size is an easy thing to adjust and they refuse! Stop using supporting the use of these horses until the abuse ends!
All animals deserve our protection and care, not abuse
