Sara is one of the sweetest and funniest people you will ever meet! She loves dancing, Taylor Swift, Harry Potter, and her favorite number is 11. There is a lot of support for Sara right now but there can never be enough! Sara was originally diagnosed in November 2014, went through chemo and radiation, and was in remission until she relapsed on May 11, 2018 on her 18th birthday. Sara has relapsed brain cancer - a germinoma. It came back on her optic nerve and took her eyesight permanently in her right eye. Because it's the same cancer she had before it is harder to fight, so she has to do high dose chemotherapy and stem cell transplants. Her odds of beating this aren’t as good this time so they have to be very aggressive. Unfortunately, the side effects from the stronger chemo are really devastating.
