As child off the 40's and 50's The Song "Route 66" was a soundtrack to my life. All Nations should try to preserve their Heritage for people to know about in the future.
I love Rt 66. My father had a gas station on Rt 66 on Route 4 in Ill. I'm a proud member of the Rt 66 Association of Az & Il. I'm so thankful there are other Roadies out there willing to take on the task of saving these historic buildings.
This is one of the best known icons along the entire length of Route 66. It is so good to see the effort being made to preserve this for now and hopefully many decades into the future.
The fence was a great idea and so very necessary .... cows do like to rub. This is for the fence fund.
The Painted Desert Trading Post is a part of route 66 history that should be preserved for future generations to appreciate. I'm donating to try to help the Co-Op the best I can.
