About this campaign
The Beach Bots have always aimed for fully functional but simple robot designs. As a result, a common feature of our robots is our familiar single-jointed arm. While the first “Beach Bot Arm” was featured on our world champion 2005 robot, this sketch shows the geometry development of our 2007 robot, demonstrating that a single articulation could satisfy all game design requirements. Our 2007 robot was fabricated based on this sketch and went on to win two regionals and make an Einstein appearance.
