What's on the back?
The back of this year's T-shirt features a list of all the AWP conferences since 1973. Grab your alcohol-based permanent marker or fabric marker, and check off all the conferences you have attended!

About Our Winner
Congratulations to Katrina Roberts of Walla Walla, Washington! About her two winning designs, Katrina said:

“The flora and fauna of Texas call out to be drawn; I anchored my designs in these iconic images (state flower, bird, and animal) to celebrate the location of this year’s conference. March in San Antonio can be just when the bluebonnet—sometimes known as wolf bean, buffalo clover, or el conejo (“rabbit,” for the white cottontail tips of each petal)—starts to bloom. Northern mockingbirds find inspiration in every other bird’s song, symbolic for the kind of generative energy one might feel within an AWP crowd. I gave my Lone Star Longhorn a banjo, to pay tribute to the glory that is music in Texas! I like to imagine these mascots, mockingbird and longhorn, heading home with everyone to prompt memories of a great occasion!”

About the Writer to Writer Mentorship Program
AWP's Writer to Writer Mentorship Program matches emerging writers and published authors for a three-month series of modules on topics such as craft, revision, publishing, and the writing life. All proceeds from T-shirt sales before the conference will support the growth of this project as it enters its tenth season of helping new writers access the wisdom and experience of established writers.
