About this campaign
Hey There, Comedy Friends!
Like every member of our awesome community, PHIT has felt the impact of mandated closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While we all do our part to protect our loved ones, neighbors, and the community we serve, the theater is closed for performances on our stage and the start of our next session of classes has been pushed back to April.
Social distancing keeps us from coming together physically, but we can come together in the warm embrace of a Philly Improv Theater t-shirt featuring our logo!
All proceeds from this campaign will go to keeping the theater running behind the scenes until we can return to our building and host performances on stage and teach in-person classes at our training center. We will use the money donated to pay our rent as required, and continue to support our full payroll. For each month the theater remains closed, these expenses will total approximately $35,000. If we are able to surpass our goal, additional funds will first be used to pay teaching artists for weeks of work they missed as a result of the delayed start to our next session of classes and then used to prepare for the possibility of an extended closure.
Thanks for your amazing support and look for us online to keep laughing during these strange times. We’ve got your back!
P.S. We also accept tax deductible one time or monthly donations through Fractured Atlas. Donate here.

Love PHIT. Look forward to seeing my friends in future classes or at a show.
Taken classes PHIT enjoyed the class and the instructors any nice people you meet . Keep up the good work, I want to help keep it going.
Love PHIT so much! As both an Improv student and a spectator of many shows, this place has truely changed my life. I’m so grateful for the talented instructors I’ve had (shout out to Erin, Ralph & Rob!) and all of the amazing friends I’ve made here!
Because I wanted to make a donation to someone who would appreciate it more than my money grubbing friends.
I am alive in no small way due to the love and kindness of the folks who teach and perform at Philly Improv Theater. I was welcomed three years ago to the wonderful family of improv. Our family is known worldwide and has opened my life.
Ryan Roe and Big in Miami are amazing!
