About this campaign

Hmong Museum is a response to a community need. We hear daily from educators, students, community organizations and families for: 1) more educational materials, 2) better resources to foster relationships and partnerships with the Hmong community, 3) access to arts for under served communities such as the Hmong elders, 4) culturally relevant programs for Hmong families and 5) an urgency in documenting stories of Hmong elders and veterans.

A purchase of a t-shirt today will help us continue our mission in fulfilling these community needs.

ABOUT HMONG MUSEUM

Hmong Museum was created by passionate community members, who envisioned a space to document Hmong history and knowledge, exhibit Hmong culture and art, and share the experiences of the Hmong.

The all-volunteer organization has worked hard to create relevant programming for the community. To highlight a few: > Bring the art of Hmong elders to the walls of the Minnesota Museum of American Art. > Offer free monthly workshops to teach the craft of paj ntaub. > Create a platform for local artists and Hmong elders to collaborate creatively re-tell Hmong folktales. > Teach young Hmong the art of film making to bring the untold war stories of Hmong Secret Guerrilla Veterans to life in a series of short films.

A special thank you to artist Duachaka Her for designing our t-shirt!

What a great place to continue teaching and sharing more about our Hmong culture with the next generation of Hmong Americans.

As a Hmong artist I think it’s so important to help and preserve our culture in a space that is open to the public to educate and expose who the Hmong people are. This is a great platform and space to provide that. I fully support it.
