About this campaign

The PFIC Network is hosting a fundraising campaign to not only keep our community safe and healthy, but to come together to support each other as we all try to feel comfortable balancing life with PFIC during COVID19. All of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go to support our outreach programs, such as Patient Financial Assistance, PFIC Care Package program and our Awareness Program.

COVID 19 has called attention to the many obstacles that living with PFIC and other chronic diseases can bring. Many PFIC patients have gone through a liver transplant and are immune compromised in order to help keep their new livers healthy. Patients who have not had transplants still face risk as viral illness can exacerbate symptoms. As there is so much uncertainty within the rare disease population, we tend to take as much caution as we can to minimize risk to PFIC patients, whether pre transplant or post. We strive to support each other in mask wearing to protect PFIC patients, caregivers, friends and family and to help our community feel a little bit safer living in such uncertain times.
