We’ve been traveling to — and loving — the Gunflint Trail area for almost 40 years. Chik-Wauk museum and nature center is an absolute jewel! The folks who developed it and continue to improve it should be very proud of their work!
My dad was stationed on the Gunflint in the CCC in 1936. He fell in love with the area and has passed that appreciation on to many others, me being one of those that continues to love the Gunflint area, Chik-Wauk being one of those.
I've loved Chik Wauk since I stayed there with my parents in 1954. Now they have saved the old lodge and are doing an irreplaceable service to the area.
