About this campaign
All funds raised will go towards supporting Hiztorical Vision Productions' mission to create short-film documentaries that help protect and preserve the often-untold African American history in the South.
Hiztorical Vision Productions (HVP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded in Auburn, AL in 2017 by historian Theo M. Moore II. HVP was born out of Theo’s desire to share uplifting information about African American history that is not always easily accessible or taught to the general public. The films and projects we usually see of African Americans are from the victimization standpoint rather than a focus on the success stories of those who were civically engaged or made contributions to this country. HVP desires to help local communities take back control of their narratives by working with them to produce historical short-film documentaries about the often-untold success stories of African Americans in their area. HVP also acts as a resource to educators, history lovers, and local organizations who want to provide enrichment material to educate the community, classroom, and nation.
