Bat Houses at Fort Mifflin for Peter's Eagle Project

Hello, my name is Peter Pilko and I am a Scout from Troop 151 of Broomall, PA. I am currently nearing the final rank in the Boy Scouts of America: Eagle Scout. One of the most important requirements in achieving Eagle Scout rank, is to plan and execute a service project. I am looking for support to make this project happen.

My Eagle Project is to build three bat boxes, three new a-frame informational signs & conduct a trail cleanup at the historic Fort Mifflin, located in Philadelphia, PA.

I first experienced Fort Mifflin as a Cub Scout on a camping trip, and had so much fun exploring and learning the history, that when I became a Senior Patrol Leader of my Boy Scout Troop, I organized a camp-out there. The last few years, our Troop & Venture Crew have participated in their Earth Day clean-ups.

My love for the Fort led me to believe they should benefit from my Eagle Project.

My Eagle Project will be held in early November. My goal is to raise $2000: Enough for three bat boxes, three a-frame signs, food costs, and any extra materials or tools needed. Any funds remaining at the end of my project will be donated to Fort Mifflin.

If you are able to help me reach my financial goals, I promise to make every penny counts as a Scout is Thrifty and I will make it go far.

I believe that my Eagle Project will have a positive lasting effect on the Fort and will make the visiting experience even better to this national treasure.
