About this campaign

Multiple Myeloma is a type of blood cancer that begins in plasma cells, a type of white blood cell that helps the body fight infection. In time, malignant plasma cells collect in the bone marrow, crowding out the body’s healthy plasma cells. Without treatment, this can lead to tumors, bone destruction, kidney damage, and/ or compromised immunity. While Multiple Myeloma is not currently curable at this time, treatments including chemotherapy, radiation and stem cell transplants can achieve remission for up to 10 years. During this time, science and medicine will continue to make significant advancements in Multiply Myeloma Cancer Treatments with a CURE prayerfully on the horizon!

Lash Lacoste, our family member, colleague, and most of all dear friend was diagnosed with a type of blood cancer called Multiple Myeloma in June of this year (Oh, what a year 2020 has been!). Lash has undergone Chemotherapy Treatments since diagnosis and is currently preparing to undergo a Stem Cell Transplant in Nashville. He and his wife, Amanda, will be traveling back and forth, along with staying there for extended periods during this time. What a better way to raise Multiple Myeloma Awareness, show our support, and help his family with any unforeseen out of pocket costs than to wear proudly a Team Lacoste T-Shirt?!
