All Shepherd Rescue Fundraiser

Meet Brody! Brody is an example of ASR, at its best - Brody was a pretty sick boy when he came to us from an overcrowded shelter in NC. We knew he was underweight (about 65 lbs) and heartworm positive when he came into Rescue. In addition, after his first vet visit as an ASR dog, we learned he was positive for whipworm and hookworm and also had ehrlichia (a tick borne disease). We also learned his heartworm infection was advanced and his heart was slightly enlarged. Brody was treated for the hook and whip worms and ehrlichia and started to put on weight. He began the conservative heartworm treatment of 3 injections to allow him the best possible chance for a full recovery. Brody has now completed his HW treatment. With good food, meds and care, this sweet, handsome boy is now up to 96 lbs, about 4 lbs less than his ideal weight and is in good health.
