About this campaign
Overdose deaths in the USA soared to a record 93,000 last year in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, nearly a 30% increase from 2019. The FED UP! Coalition is organized to send a single, unified message to the Federal Government, demanding action to end this major public health crisis. Our concept is simple. There are countless organizations and individuals, including parents and friends of lost loved ones, state coalitions, nonprofits, and large corporations, all insisting that the Federal Government take immediate and sustained action to end America’s opioid addiction epidemic.
The opioid epidemic is having a catastrophic impact on families and communities, and is placing tremendous strain on our healthcare system and businesses as well as all levels of governments. The FED UP! Coalition provides a platform to amplify our messages into a single, unified effort to hold the Federal Government accountable. The FED UP! Coalition does not, and never will, accept funds from pharmaceutical companies or the trade organizations lobbying on their behalf. FED UP! is known for hosting and organizing annual opioid rallies in Washington D.C. and across the country. International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) is a global event held on August 31st each year with the purpose to raise awareness of overdoses, reduce the stigma of drug-related deaths and acknowledge the grief felt by families and friends. Once again this year, FED UP! is spearheading, supporting and promoting dozens of local rallies in communities throughout the country.

My baby sister passed away from a heroin overdose.
I've supported FED UP since 2013
I lost my son to this awful mess. Too families are suffering in silence. It needs to stop!
My brother died of an opioid overdose in 2017 and I strongly support the mission of the FedUp! Coalition.
Stigma is KILLING people. Real awareness of a public health crisis is the only way.
I have been to Washington with this group on several occasions, rallying and peaceful March's. The dedication to a cause touched by everyone across the country is overwhelming and they are making a difference. Please give. Thanks KPB.
