About this campaign
November is National Diabetes Month. Every year, 64,000 people in the US are diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes (T1D). Nothing will prevent the onset of T1D, but you can learn to manage it.
Learning to manage T1D takes time and resources, and diabetes camps are amazing places for the recently-diagnosed -- especially children and teens-- to learn how to do it, but the reality is that cost is often a prohibitive factor for many families.
By supporting today, you'll receive a T-shirt with original artwork by my late father, Jeff Boozer. He lived with Type 1 diabetes, and learned to manage it at Camp Conrad Chinnock, a non profit organization located in the San Bernardino Mountains of California that aims to teach children with T1D how to manage medication, nutrition, and exercise. All proceeds from T-shirt sales will be donated to Camp Conrad Chinnock in his memory, and help more families like mine manage life with diabetes.
My dad was an artist through to his very core, and I am excited that his work will continue to inspire others to be as giving, compassionate, and kind as he was.

My boyfriend has T1 and was diagnosed at age 19. Adjusting to T1 is a huge challenge for so many people and I am so excited that there are places like this to help people transition to a new normal and build community
As a T1 who got diagnosed at age 33, I have been moved by Sera’s stories. The diagnosis was hard to deal with as an adult. I can only imagine how wonderful of a resource the camp is for kids and their families. Thanks Sera for highlighting this cause
Camp Conrad Chinnock was where my dad went to camp when he got diagnosed at 11! They do amazing things for young children with T1D. Excited to support Sera!
Excited to support this amazing memorial to one of my favorite hydrow instructor's dad....and what an awesome shirt
I coached some high school rowers who amazed me with management of their insulin pumps while being athletes!
I've listened to Sera's stories about her dad while rowing on Hydrow. Additionally, my best friend's daughter was diagnosed with T1 three years ago at age 7. She went to a day camp the next year and loved it. Happy to support this cause!
