About this campaign

EEA is encouraging all Georgians (and our friends elsewhere) to join the Hike GA Challenge! The challenge is simple: hike, walk, jog, bike, run, paddle, or otherwise move your body and explore the great outdoors. Whether you take in the sights at a “new to you” state park, the Appalachian Trail, Atlanta’s Beltline, the Columbus Riverwalk, the Augusta Canal, or simply around your own block, EEA hopes to inspire you to enjoy nature with friends and family this April! Participants pledge to move 30, 60, or 90 miles or any other distance during the month of April 2022, and we hope that you will share your mileage and the beauty that you encounter in the Hike GA Facebook group or on Instagram. Registration for the event includes a T-shirt. Sign up anytime in March to get your shirt by Earth Day (April 22, 2022). Look for more details at www.eealliance.org starting March 1. We would like for everyone to celebrate Earth Day by wearing their shirt and going for a walk outside!
