The International Cesarean Awareness Network founded Cesarean Awareness Month to spread awareness about the impacts C-Sections have on birthing people. There are 18.5 million C-Sections every year, and ICAN exists to support, educate, and advocate for these birthing people. This year, we acknowledge the healing power of storytelling in recovering from birth trauma, obstetric abuse, and surgical birth.
