About this campaign

Proper vet care is important for all animals. Our equine are routinely seen twice a year for vaccinations. Equine also require yearly dental care which we do in the fall as well. With 19 equine, fall shots & dental requirements can be between $4500-$6000. Proceeds from this fundraiser will assist in our upcoming vet bill.

Campfire Critters Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue dedicated to providing a loving, forever home to animals in need. We are located at Willowdale Farm in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Run by the Gedicke and Peck families, Campfire Critters started at a campground in Hayes, VA in 2016 when the campground started adopting barnyard animals in need of a new home. As our herd grew over the years, we decided our animals needed their own dedicated organization.

We achieved our non-profit status in 2020 and relocated from Hayes to Willowdale Farm in Fredericksburg in June 2021. Campfire Critters Animal Sanctuary is currently home to 6 horses, 6 mini horses, 7 donkeys, 2 alpacas, 2 llamas, 5 goats, 1 sheep, 3 rabbits, 5 guinea pigs, 10 barn cats, 12 cows, 37 mini pigs, and 3 farm pigs.
