About this campaign

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and in Tucson, it's TucSAAM! This year, local victim service agencies, advocacy groups, law enforcement agencies and legal rights organizations have teamed up to "DEMAND EQUITY" for sexual assault prevention by hosting education events, media outreach, and digital campaigns throughout the month.

Because teal is the color of sexual assault awareness, we encourage Southern Arizona to join us in support of survivors on April 5 for Wear Teal Day and April 26 for Denim Day. You can even buy your own teal-lettered #TucSAAM t-shirt, and proceeds will benefit the Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault (SACASA).

SACASA provides crisis services, advocacy, support, therapy and education for individuals and families impacted by sexual trauma. They provide a safe place for survivors to heal, gain strength, learn coping skills, and develop trusting, caring relationships.

Visit www.tucsaam.com for links to find resources, agencies, and organizations that support survivors.

A friend's daughter was assaulted last summer and it had forever altered the course of her and her family's lives.

I am a survivor, and at the time I needed support, there were very options in my area. SACASA is the type of support that anyone impacted by this trauma needs and deserves.

Too many individuals that I work with are survivors of sexual assault. If I can help raise more awareness and help these individuals find peace and justice even as an ally, I'll be there!
