About this campaign

Disability Rights Texas imagines a more accessible Texas where people with disabilities can live, work and thrive in our communities.

We select July for our annual t-shirt fundraiser each year because it is the anniversary of the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Since 1990 when it became law, many obstacles to inclusion started to be removed, but we still have a lot of work to do to make our communities accessible to all.

With every purchase, DRTx will receive a donation – and you get an awesome t-shirt with our NEW logo that spreads a positive message of inclusion. Your support helps us advocate for the rights of thousands of Texans with disabilities each year to ensure they have access to education, healthcare, housing, jobs, and more.
Help spread awareness about disability rights and support DRTx with the purchase of our t-shirt today!

Disability Rights Texas is the protection and advocacy agency for Texans with disabilities. Our mission is to help people with disabilities understand and exercise their rights under the law, ensuring their full and equal participation in society.

Our attorneys and advocates fulfill our mission in the following ways:
* Provide direct legal assistance to people with disabilities whose rights are threatened or violated.
* Protect the rights of individuals and groups of people with disabilities through the courts and justice system.
* Educate and inform policy makers about issues that impact the rights and services for people with disabilities Inform people with disabilities about their rights.
* Make referrals to programs and services.

Texas is far behind in supporting the most vulnerable population that we have. Every Texan deserves to be treated with dignity and to be supported, especially when they are unable to support themself due to factors that are no fault of their own.

Disability Rights Texas has helped my family! Legal resources for those with disabilities are desperately needed to navigate this world and are prohibitively expensive. I am so grateful for all the wonderful people who make DRTX possible!
