About this campaign
The Animal Therapy Club was founded in the 2023-2024 school year. We bring licensed therapy dogs to the school for the student's and staff's enjoyment and relaxation once a month to support the mental wellness of our school community. We also have a meeting once a month without the dogs where we either craft gifts for incoming dogs or learn about the therapy licensing process and the history of animal therapy. We also have activities where we learn about what people have available to them if they ever want to volunteer anywhere and/or train their own therapy dog.
On April 5, 2024, we had our very first miniature horse visit at the school! We also have an Instagram @phs_animaltherapy, run by Sarai L. Martinez, where you can find videos and pictures of previous dog events and charity work! Please help us to do more events like this one next year and continue our monthly events and meetings!
