About this campaign

The Friends of Kirkwood Library are raising funds to support library programming for all ages at Kirkwood Library in Wilmington, Delaware.

The Friends have supported a variety of programs, including:
-Delaware Authors Forum (a monthly program for Delaware authors of all genres)
-Musical events in the Great Reading Room
-A 15th birthday celebration for the "new" Kirkwood building
-Staff celebrations - retirement parties, holiday gatherings, staff conferences
-Secured grant funding for enhancements to the Library of Things for both youth and adults

We are currently raising funds to purchase a new AWE machine for the children's area. These self-contained machines promote early literacy skills in English, math, science, and the arts!
