About this campaign
What's important about this fundraiser is that it aligns with efforts to foster a healthier, safer, and more equitable society. It not only provides immediate support but also promotes lasting change by empowering women, nurturing future leaders through mentorship, and improving health awareness and outcomes for chronic illnesses. This fundraiser will support AB2L's efforts focused on the following pillars.

AB2L's mentorship program is designed to break cycles of poverty, violence, or low self-esteem by providing positive role models and encouragement.

AB2L's desire is to raise awareness among members of underserved communities about chronic diseases such as cancer, diabetes, or heart disease, and encourage early detection through education, screening, and healthy lifestyle choices.

(US Army, Colonel, (Retired) Lawrence Henry, Ph.D., is the Founder and Executive Director for AB2L. Before AB2L, he served in the US Army for 26 years, 20 of those years as a Special Forces Officer. As he planned and led countless operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, and South and Central America, he became passionate about contributing to the liberation of oppressed people, embodied within the Special Forces Regiment's Motto, De Oppresso Liber.
AB2L's vision is to provide unlimited access to opportunities for the entire human family.
Its mission is to enable underserved communities to overcome obstacles that traditionally hindered their progress and access to human needs, with an emphasis on persons vulnerable to "the school-to-prison pipeline," and enable the reentry of formerly incarcerated people.
A military service-connected Stage IIIC and Stage IV Colon Cancer Survivor, Dr. Lawrence lives by, and encourages others to live by, the AB2L Motto, "let's learn together and make 'The N.E.T.' Work!"
