Dear Jaguar Families, Staff, and Community Supporters,
At Janitell Junior High, we believe that Music is for Everybody. From the somber, respectful notes of our Veterans Day ceremony to the high-energy spirit of our volunteer pep band, our musicians provide the energy that brings our community together.

This year, our students have reached incredible heights of musical excellence. We are thrilled to share that:

Jazz Cats: Performed at Colorado Music Educator Clinic and Conference and earned a Superior rating (Fountain Jazz Festival)!

Symphonic Band: Earned a Superior rating(CHSSA)!

Concert Band: Earned an Excellent rating(CHSSA)!

Whether they are improvising with the Jazz Cats II, collaborating in the BASH after-school club, or mastering their very first notes in Beginning Band, these students are proving that dedication and inclusivity lead to extraordinary results.

The "Sea of Purple" Challenge To celebrate these successes, we are launching our 2025-2026 Band Shirts! This shirt is for everyone. We want to see students, staff, parents, and neighbors all wearing the same colors. Our goal is a "sea of purple" in the audience at our end-of-year concert—a powerful visual "wall of support" for our musicians. The Message: "Music is for Everybody"—a statement that there is a place for everyone in our song, whether you are on stage or in the stands.

While this is not a direct fundraiser, every shirt sold helps ensure our program remains a place where every student has the tools to succeed.
