UAKE Dance Academy 2026 Fundraiser

We are on our third year and currently the only Hmong dance academy in the La Crosse, Wisconsin area. UAKE derives from the Hmong words “ua ke,” meaning “together.” Together, we want to uphold our culture by incorporating modern styles into traditional Hmong dance. Our main purpose is to promote and instill the love of Hmong culture and dance, while inspiring self-confidence, discipline, and respect in our community.

Our team consists of nine experienced dance coaches overlooking four levels of dance divisions ranging from 6-20+ years of age. Our advanced teams will partake in Hmong dance competitions around the Wisconsin and Minnesota regional areas. Overall, we would like to showcase our performances at events all around the La Crosse community when given the opportunity. We also have four passionate coordinators handling behind-the-scenes needs. We noticed that there was a piece of the Hmong culture missing in the La Crosse County, therefore, continuing our journey to maintain and expose the community to the beauty of Hmong dance.
