BCI Helping Lao Cai Province, Vietnam

GVI (Glocal Ventures Inc.) is all about being GLOCAL—serving people both locally and globally. While they work to make a difference in our own community, they also partner with people around the world who are working hard to improve their lives. One of those places is Vietnam, specifically the Lao Cai Province, a rural, mountainous area near the border of China. Many families there depend on farming to survive, but much of the work—like plowing fields—is still done by hand. This demanding labor often requires children to miss school to help their families. Our fundraising goal is to help change that. Through our partnership, a donation of $600 helps provide the cost of a tractor for a farming family. This increases productivity and family income, reduces physical strain, and allows students to attend school more regularly instead of working in the fields. The families also contribute toward the overall cost, making this a true partnership—not a handout. When you donate, you’re not just giving money—you’re giving families opportunity, students access to education, and communities hope for a better future.
