About this campaign
“EJ” was rescued, and we adopted him on December 12, 2015 and named him “EJ”, Emmitt Jr. EJ weighed only 3 lbs, was severely emaciated, had a broken pelvis which required a femoral head ostectomy surgery, incontinence due to damaged nerves, infections in both of his eyes, blood in his urine and stool, infested with fleas and parasites, and his hair was so matted tight that he could barely open his eyes and hardly walk.
EJ has since transformed into a 7 lb, loyal, handsome love bug, aka “EJ the Bed Engineer”, “Chef EJ”, and “Magnum Prince EJ”.
Unfortunately, EJ was diagnosed with a heart condition, Grade 4 heart murmur about 3 years ago, and he was recently diagnosed with an enlarged heart, congestive heart failure, and elevated kidney counts.
EJ is a survivor and is doing well under the care of his veterinarians and the meds he’s on.
If you wish to purchase a t-shirt and/or make a donation, proceeds and donations from this fundraiser will go directly into EJ’s vet fund to help pay for his vet care, daily meds, and other related expenses.
“The Big Kahuna” in Hawaiian traditionally refers to a respected master or an expert in a specific field… EJ the Bed Engineer, hence “EJ The Big Kahuna”.
Please note that this t-shirt fundraiser is a one-time deal. Once this fundraiser closes, these shirts will no longer be available for purchase.
EJ says mahalo (thank you) for your love and support … woof, woof!!

We lost our sweet little girl 2 years ago after enduring a two year battle! We never regretted rescuing her and did everything we could to keep her with us for the 8 years we had her! EJ touches our hearts!
