Anchorage is a trails town. The Moose Loop brings together four of Anchorage’s main multi-use trails to create a scenic route around the city, connecting people to parks, neighborhoods, and the outdoors. The Anchorage Park Foundation works to make the Moose Loop even better by supporting infrastructure improvements that close gaps in the route, improve wayfinding, increase neighborhood access, and strengthen connections throughout our trail system.

The 2026 Moose Loop Trail Challenge invites you to walk, run, or bike the Moose Loop before the snow flies. This family-friendly community challenge is a fundraiser for the Anchorage Park Foundation, helping support projects and improvements that make Anchorage’s parks and trails better for everyone.
