About this campaign

The KCSV / Spring Valley sidewalks on State Line Road are in a sorry state. Cracked, sinking with eroded curbs causing water-related problems. Worst of all, they are dangerous to small children and elderly who cannot navigate the uneven surfaces. It's time to take action!

The KCSV is partially based in the lovely Spring Valley neighborhood. One major priority for the neighborhood is the improvement of our deteriorating curb and sidewalk infrastructure. Our area has incredible walkability – we are close to shops on 39th, Westport restaurants, the Plaza, and Westwood Park – if only the sidewalks were not cracked and sinking and the curbs eroded away causing drainage and water-related problems. The state of our sidewalks is deplorable and even dangerous to small children and elderly who cannot navigate the uneven surfaces.

The Wyandotte County Unified Government has kindly pledged $20,000 as part of their 75/25 Sidewalks Incentive program, but unfortunately it's not enough. This project, along with the donations of some local homeowners, will help cover the remaining costs to fix the curbs on State Line Road. Thank you for your generosity and helping us make our community safer for everyone.
