C.O.P.S- Concerns of Police Survivors
Each year, between 140 and 160 officers are killed in the line of duty and their families and co-workers are left to cope with the tragic loss. C.O.P.S. provides resources to help them rebuild their shattered lives.
Concerns of Police Survivors, Inc. (C.O.P.S.) provides resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families and affected co-workers of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty as determined by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Public Safety Officers' Benefit (PSOB), National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund Officers' Memorial Fund (MLEOMF) or Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) criteria. Furthermore, C.O.P.S. provides training to law enforcement agencies on survivor victimization issues and educates the public of the need to support the law enforcement profession and its survivors.
The event will be held on Saturday May 31st 2014 at Chaos Off-road Park in Capon Bridge, WV
This is a 1 day event

My cousin was a cop and was killed by an enraged perpetrator while off duty visiting his newborn son in the hospital. My aunt now lives in WV., and being a Jeep enthusiast, I felt as though this event has a personal meaning for me. Tom Smith
