About this campaign

This is the first of several efforts to get the funds to make this movie. In addition to raising money for the film, I want to see these licorice colored shirts on people here in WV... This story is far from over.

While the story of the chemical spill has gotten bigger and bigger, the national media keeps choosing issues like a traffic jam in New Jersey, pop-star DUIs and dirty hotels at the Olympics. They've barely acknowledged that 300,000 of us were exposed to a licorice flavored toxic chemical which no one seems to know anything about. As a media producer from WV who lives less than a mile from the spill, I'm going to do my best to tell the story of what happened here and what's happening to so many people in rural areas. I hope you'll help.

I grew up and moved away years ago, but I still think of Charleston as home. I still go back there to visit family and friends. It makes me mad that so many corporate jerks care so little about the people and small businesses who chose to live and work in WV because it was a great place until everything started leaking. It is hard to live and do business in a place where you can't drink the water.
