About this campaign

Imagine the impact if we reduce death and disability from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20% by 2020! Our team is joining the Kansas City American Heart Association's Heart Walk 2014 to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Please help us!!!

37785_414993872026_4933971_njpgFamily and Friends, All of you in some way have assisted our family during the untimely death of our hero, Aaron Quentin Ellis Washington. We have begun our healing process and now are endeavoring on the next phase of this process, the 2014 Kansas City Heart & Stroke Walk/5K Run. As many may know, this phenomenal man, husband, brother, son, grandson, nephew, and friend was no stranger to health and fitness which made his untimely and unexpected death from a heart attack so unnerving. Heart disease is a silent killer and we want to do our part to fight this epidemic. The Washington/Jackson family and friends are walking in the 2014 Kansas City Heart & Stroke Walkand raising funds to support the American Heart Association and we would love for you to join us. All proceeds will be donated to the American Heart Association. While we know that everyone’s schedule will not allow for their physical participation, so in that case, we encourage you make a monetary donation for any amount for this worthy cause. The proceeds from the purchase of a t-shirt will also go directly to the American Heart Association. Thank you so much for your continued support. Kim, Monte, and Nikki

Aaron Washington was my best friend and mentor. He taught me almost everything I know when it comes to fitness and the way of life in the military. He is the reason I am who I am today!
