About this campaign

We are the Meyer family. We have three biological children, and one son adopted from China. My husband and I, as well as all four of our kids, are legally blind. There is never a dull moment in our house, and now we are adding to the mayhem by adopting an 11 year old girl with special needs from China. You can follow our story on our Facebook page...."Multiplying the Meyer Mayham"

We never planned on having a large family, and we never could have imagined we'd grow our family through a China adoption...much less TWICE! Being in China, and bringing home our son changed us. We realized just HOW MUCH we have in the USA. Not just material things, but quality of life issues. We have laws here that protect people with disabilities from employment discrimination, and everyone is entitled to an education. There are no such policies in China, and add to that the negative beliefs about orphans, much less orphans with disabilities, and the future is bleak for many of these kids. This sobering reality couples with a picture of a sweet little girl who wants a family, an education, and a chance to make life better for others around her as an adult....of course we have room for one more. Quinn has a special need that requires a wheel chair, modifications to our home, and possibly future surgeries. We believe Quinn is worth it, because we value people over things. If you agree please share in our joy in growing our family by making one less orphan in the world. Thank You!!!

My wife and I raised an adopted child from Asia. We know the opportunity that you are giving Quinn, and we would like to support your choice to give her the chance to fulfill her dreams.
