Madilyn Jean Phillips was born with tetralogy of fallot, a form of CHD (congenital heart disease). She has a combination on 4 defects and that can consist of 2-3 surgeries to repair. Madi has already had the first surgery. During a surgery, a shunt had to be placed in her heart. This meant that she would need to have a second surgery to repair her sternum, as it became detached at only 3 weeks old. 
 
 On Friday (4/10) Madi underwent her 3rd surgery to receive a button feeding tube in hopes of keeping her out of the hospital until it is time for the total repair of her heart. This surgery should take place in about one year.  

 Madi was also born with many cardiac and pulmonary anomalies which cause her lots of other problems. 
She has a LPA (left pulmonary artery) sling that her artery wraps around her trachea.  She also has displaced coronary arteries and aberrant subclavian arteries. Madi was also born with a tracheal bronchus and completed a tracheal ring. This could cause her to have more surgeries in the next few years. 
 
Hannah Phillips, Madi’s mom, can no longer work because of the care and attention needed to keep Madi well. Madi also cannot attend any daycares or nurseries. 

 Madi’s mom (Hannah), dad (Jacob), and brother (Gavin) would appreciate any and all the help they can receive. They are continuously losing income and are constantly paying for gas driving back and forth from doctor’s appointments and the travel between home and the hospital (they have practically lived in the hospital for the last 3 months!)

Please help the Phillips family support themselves and stay afloat. Let’s help them focus on keeping Madi well without worrying about the financial burdens they are currently facing.
