WEAR THE SAME SHIRTS THAT THE MICHIGAN STATE FOOTBALL PLAYERS WEAR TO HONOR MIKE!
On July 23, 2016, we lost
our bigger than life Spartan, Michael Sadler. The former Michigan State
All American punter and four-time Academic All American was mentoring kids at a kicking camp in Wisconsin when he was tragically killed in a car
accident. Michael was doing what he loved. He leaves behind his loving parents, Karen and David, his
devoted sister, Katie, and many wonderful family members.
Spartan Head Coach Mark Dantonio writes:
"Mike impacted so many people not only as a
football player, but also as an Academic All American and in the community as
well. The world has lost a rising star who dreamed big and was accomplishing
those dreams, one after another. He was one of those people that brightened
your day. I always say to try and be a light, and he truly was a light in this world.”
We are pleased to announce the Sadler family has established The Michael Sadler Foundation to make good on a mother’s promise to build a legacy for her extraordinary son. The Foundation will work to raise money for academic and athletic endeavors in Mike's name to support his legacy and to honor the thousands of lives that he affected.

Mike Sadler has been named a member of the 2016 MSU Athletic Hall of Fame class. He will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on September 24, 2016, when the Spartans play Wisconsin at Spartan Stadium. Join Spartan Nation in honoring Mike by wearing Sadler shirts at this game. The stadium will be green and white striped with Sadler #3 shirts.
