About this campaign
Miles4Hips is a patient-driven collaborative between individuals with hip dysplasia and the International Hip Dysplasia Institute (IHDI). We believe that everyone from babies through adults deserves a life of free from the pain and disability that can be caused by hip dysplasia. Check us out at www.miles4hips.com.
This past summer nearly 400 individuals purchased a Hopes for Hips tee shirt and participated in the Miles4Hips inaugural Virtual 5K and Day of Movement. Between tee shirt sales and generous donations we raised over $7400 for the IHDI!!!
Although we are already gearing up for our 2020 event in June, we wanted to give people a chance to spread hip dysplasia awareness year-round by sponsoring a Winter "Hoodies4Hippies" fundraiser. These hoodies will keep you warm and also make great holiday gifts! And best of all, 100% of all proceeds go directly to the IHDI to support their educational, technological, and research-related efforts to improve the lives of those affected by hip dysplasia!

I have bilateral hip dysplasia and several members of my family do, too. I’m in full support of raising funds for IHDI to improve diagnosis and treatment options. Can’t wait to wear this sweatshirt to raise awareness!
I was diagnosed with Bilateral Hip Dysplasia after I turned 40! I had PAO Surgery in 2017 on one side.
It takes a village!
Diagnosed as a toddler with DDH I have had many surgeries to correct and finally a hip replacement. My journey is ongoing due to muscle dysfunction and "collateral" damage. More is needed for proper diagnosis and treatment.
I was born with bilateral hip dysplasia but not diagnosed until I was 29. Despite having a PAO and scope on the more severe side, I still live with pain and other symptoms every day. I would love to see more mgmt options for late diagnosis.
I support this campaign because I was born with hip dysplasia but was not diagnosed until the age of 28 when I was living a very limited life due to pain. I hope we can raise awareness and help more undiagnosed patients find the best treatment.
