miracles do happen

Fourteen years ago, I was given a Stage IV Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) diagnosis and a hopeless prognosis. I was not expected to be here today. A few months after that diagnosis, I formed Team Incredibles so my family, friends, and I could turn fear and grief into action and hope. What started as a way to cope has become a movement. I will never forget that first Race for Hope-DC: thousands of walkers and runners, including my own loved ones, united in a single mission—to fight the disease that was supposed to take my life. Since then, Team Incredibles has shown up every single year. Together, we’ve raised over $150,000 for brain cancer and brain tumor research and support. We keep coming back because I am still here.
