Morehead City Police Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser

Morehead City Police has been participating in fundraising during the months of October and November for the past several years to benefit local charities. We believe in helping the community and giving back. We also believe that breast cancer and other forms of cancer awareness are important. We are choosing to continue our cancer awareness fundraising this year. Our t-shirts were designed by a Morehead City Police Officer and are authorized for our officers to wear under our uniforms during the month of October. We are inviting the public in joining us in this fundraising effort. The proceeds of the fundraiser are getting split between 2 worthy causes. The first is a local breast cancer awareness foundation. Many of us personally know someone that has been affected by different forms of cancer. The color pink and the ribbon are a symbol to honor those whose lives have been lost due to Breast Cancer as well as the ones who survived it. The other half of the proceeds of the fundraiser is going to the Kristopher Cummings II Education Fund. Kristopher Cummings II is the son of Sgt Kris Cummings that passed away recently. We want to contribute to his son’s education fund so that he can excel in life and become a role model and leader like his father.
