About this campaign

More Than Ribbons is an effort to raise funds for cancer research, treatment, and care. Created by Brad and Jennifer, the proceeds of all funds raised through More Than Ribbons activities will directly benefit the American Cancer Society through the More Than Ribbons Relay For Life team.

More Than Ribbons is a fundraising team headed by Jennifer and her husband, Brad. After winning a fight against breast cancer, Jennifer was inspired to raise funds and build awareness for all cancers so that everyone affected by the disease can have that same fighting chance.

The team is named “More Than Ribbons” because cancer and other illnesses are about more than just ribbons. The ribbons are pretty and they are a great way to show support and spread awareness (trust us, Jennifer and friends have their share of pink), but they are such a small piece of the puzzle. We are more than cancer. We are people. We are sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, friends, workers. We are fighters. We are survivors. We are mourners. We are More Than Ribbons.

To see where it all began, check out Jennifer’s blog, which documented her journey through cancer and what’s been happening after, at BoobsSweatTears.blog.
