About this campaign

This foundation was created for a girl named Morgan. She was an incredible athlete, she played D1 on the Duke women's lacrosse team. She was a ray of positivity and always worked hard to achieve her goals. Morgan started to have high anxiety during her senior year of high school but had many supporters and help from her family. Before her sophomore season with Duke, she had a terrible knee injury that would take 12 months of recovery to return to the field. Morgan started struggling with many thoughts and emotions, and she kept her family and friends in the dark with a happy face. Sadly, she lost her battle with mental health on July 11, 2019, when she was just 22 years old. She was too young to experience this, but her unconditional love lives on to support and help others. My partner, Abigail Marsh, and I participate in a school club called DECA, a club that helps kids understand and build many skills in preparation for the business world. The event we chose to partake in is the Community Giving Project, which allows us to give back to a fundraiser that relates to us. My friend and I are both competitive dancers, and I am also a women's lacrosse player. Many of our friends are also athletes who struggle with balancing their personal and social lives with their mental health. Both my partner and I can relate to the topics of anxiety and being overwhelmed so helping this organization means a lot to us. Any donations are appreciated so we can help all the student-athletes struggling with mental health.
